Himalaya Comprehensive Research Pvt. Ltd. (hereinafter HCR) is a research and consulting firm founded in July 2016 with the prime objective of providing technical services to conduct M&E studies, socio-economic researches, impact assessments and situational assessments in all social and developmental fields. It is officially registered in the Office of Company Registrar pursuant to the Companies Act 2006 under the registration number 152697/073/074. In the Inland Revenue Office of Lalitpur district, it is registered in VAT with its Permanent Account Number (PAN): 604293655.
HCR aims to focus its works in the areas of gender equality and social inclusion; poverty; public and reproductive health; education; access to justice; local governance; agriculture and livelihood; labour and migration using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. It rigorously employs scientific research techniques in its works. It believes that data and information generated through rigorous research methods help in right decision-makings. It has recently completed some assignments on the studies of accessibility to sexual and reproductive health; justice and legal services; strengthening local governance through the empowerment of Madhesi and Dalit women representatives; women’s migration to foreign employment; and agricultural practices and income generation. Human Resources and Organizational Capability
HCR consists of a team of researchers who have been trained in political science, socio-economic studies, sociology, statistics, management, water resource management, value chain studies, and conflict and peace studies. They have been working in the areas of public health, agriculture, education, conflict, peace, gender equality, local governance, state restructuring issues, marketing research and social inclusion. The company is now led by Mr. Pawan Kumar Sen (Executive Chair and Managing Director).
